Keeping Safe on Winter Roads: 1
There are a number of reasons why winter driving can be so dangerous. For one thing, the holiday season is right in the thick of things. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year’s, and many more — no matter what individual drivers celebrate, you can make a pretty sure bet that a large majority of them will be traveling somewhere during the winter months. And since flying, especially during this time of year, is both insanely expensive and wildly unpredictable, more and more people are driving.
They risk the snow, the ice, the sleet and hail, the rain, and the early falling darkness — and sometimes, they are in such a hurry to get where they are going, that they may not necessarily be as safe as they should.
Car insurance will only take you so far when such factors converge. You need to be fully prepared to be truly safe when you are driving in the winter.
